DAY 1 Sunday 11th March:

Direct flight Mahón-Valencia: departure 14:25 h - arrival 15.45 h Private coach transfer to Denia, Art Boutique Hotel Chamarel (5 nights bed and breakfast)

Set in a mustard-coloured, 19th-century building on a narrow street, this refined, art-filled boutique hotel is a short 9-minute walk from the marina, 0.5 km from the Castell de Dénia (castle), and 2 km from the beach.

Featuring vibrant art, the elegant rooms come with TVs, fridges and free Wi-Fi. Some have fireplaces and exposed wooden beams, while upgraded rooms add a range of features, from chandeliers and 4-poster beds to opulent sitting areas.

The free continental breakfast is served in a quirky cafe that has checkerboard floors or in a quaint garden courtyard. There's also a gourmet, colonial-style restaurant.

There are lots to see and do in Denia in your free time. Not least the Moorish Castle of the Caliphate of Denia and the views across to Ibiza in the distance should not be missed. Easily accessible by using the tourist Trenet (6 €uros inc. entrance to castle)


DAY 2 Monday 12th March:
A full day excursion takes us through the beautiful Guadalest valley to the amazing “eagles nest” village of Guadalest. Situated behind the rock and accessed through a tunnel this village is an absolute gem. Built by the Moors as a refuge during the Wars of Reconquest, Guadalest is unique and affords fantastic views over the surrounding countryside, If you think the ride there is stunning then the village takes the meaning of the word to a new level.


Lunch in a local restaurant is included On this excursion you will be escorted and guided by Sheila and Bryce

A full day excursion, by coach, along the exciting Costa Blanca coast line. From Denia we will pass by Ondarra, Gata de Gorgos, Benisa, Calpe, Altea, Albir to arrive in Benidorm.
Don´t knock it if you don¨t know it. This will be an unforgettable day. Visit the old town and Tapas Alley with meters and meters of tapas

he Balcon del Mediterraneo with its views of the levante and poniente beaches and of La Cala and the 50 storey high Hotel Gran Bali

There will be plenty of time at leisure to absorb the atmosphere, explore, take lunch and browse some shops before we meet up to board the coach for the return journey to Denia. This day out will be escorted and guided by Sheila and Bryce.

Day 4 Wednesday 14th. March
A full day excursion to the city of Valencia, Visiting the Museum of the Fallas,

Followed by a guided tour with an official local guide of the Historic City Centre. Visiting the Cathedral-Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady of Valencia (alternatively known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria) where you can see a Holy Chalice thought to be the true Holy Grail. This has Arabic inscriptions from the 1st Century AD.

Also visit the impressive Central Market of Valencia one of the largest in Spain. including lunch in a central restaurant

The Fallas are celebrated on March 19th, San Jose. It is very possible that we will see some of the magnificent figures in the various city squares being made ready to set on fire

Some free time before returning via the Albufera rice fields. The origins of Paella.

Day 5 Thursday 15th. March: Day of leisure for everyone to do their own thing.

Day 6 Friday 16th, March: Transfer from hotel to the airport and return flight to Mahón Depart 20.30 h - arrive21.25 h
